So on Saturday we took Niall up to Wolfeboro, NH for his first Fireworks display. We didn't know if he'd be scared by them, fascinated by them, or whatnot. Turns out, they did not impress him at all. He wasn't scared by them -- he just sat there not looking at the sky, but looking at mommy's camera on the tripod taking pictures of the fireworks LOL You can see the pictures that I took here: [link]

On Sunday, we took Niall for his first swim in the pool....after much preparing (made sure we brought a bottle, changed him, put on his little swim diaper, swim trunks and UPF protective shirt, and slathered him up with sunblock, brought his flotation device....). We got ourselves ready to go in the water and put him in...and he was really not impressed. Started to whimper almost immediately - until I held onto his feet. He still was not completely sure of what was going on, but I don't think he hated it entirely. You can see pictures that my husband took here: [link]

I've been doing a lot of shooting lately (as you can probably tell by the number of submissions lol), finally learning some rudiments of shooting manual, and learning how to take those incredible water droplet macro shots that my Rushian Sister, , takes It's slow going, but I'm really enjoying the learning process
